The creative agency "81" just called me up. They have received an offer to screen a cinema ad, a TV spot; and play radio airtime to promote the July fundraising campaign for the New Zealand charity Women's Refuge. I am proud to be a patron of the Refuge and have been the face of previous campaigns. So of course I’m happy to front this new campaign. My husband Stuart McKenzie will direct it.
For the past two years the campaign has won top prizes at advertising awards. Check out the very successful 2021 Safe-night-a-thon campaign, a classic Kiwi enterprise.
This new ad will be an interesting experience, a day-long shoot in a cinema, a small creative team and crew, working on something we are all passionate about.
